Looking for a housing option in 2023-24? Consider the Friendship House

The Friendship House is currently accepting applications for the 2023-24 academic year. Our housing is open to graduate-level students as well as undergraduates and post-grads. At this time, our housing opportunities are for women.

The house offers the opportunity for George Fox students to live alongside two individuals experiencing intellectual or developmental disabilities. The only role that a student plays in the life of individuals experiencing disabilities is that of a friend.

You can learn more about us here. (There’s a short video that gives an overview of life at Friendship House). You can also find us on the university’s Living Off Campus page.

Reach out to the Friendship House to request an application or seek more information at fhnewberg@gmail.com or 503-250-0113.

Here are a few details about living at the Friendship House:

Rent: $600/month
Includes: Private bedroom and private half bathroom; shared full bathroom with two students; all utilities provided, including Wi-Fi, water/sewer and garbage.

The Friendship House also supplies basic supplies such as cleaning products and paper products (TP, paper towels, spray cleaner, dishwasher detergent, and dish soap). The house is furnished, and bedrooms have a twin bed and dresser furnished.

Located just a few blocks from George Fox’s main campus in Newberg, it is within walking distance to downtown and the university.
