Take a carriage ride, sing carols and enjoy festive snacks at Christmas celebration Dec. 1

Are you in the holiday spirit? Then you won’t want to miss the university’s Christmas celebration event on the Newberg campus on Thursday, Dec. 1!

You are invited to gather for cookies, coffee and cider in the Stevens Center atrium at 4 p.m. That will be followed by a tree-lighting ceremony, carols, and a devotional in the same location at 4:30 p.m.

Then, from 5 to 8 p.m., we’ll have carriage rides in the quad, a Christmas photo booth, a roaming Santa, choir and ensemble caroling, a petting zoo, and ornament decorating.

As for treats, we’ll be serving gourmet s’mores and hot cocoa (1927 S’mores Company), seasonal popcorn (Miss Hannah’s Popcorn) and apple cider, coffee, and cookies (compliments of Bon Appetit).

So, dress up in your favorite Christmas costume or sweater (there will be an incentive to do so) and join us!
