Leave No Trace training course scheduled this weekend

George Fox University Recreation is hosting a Leave No Trace trainer course this weekend, Oct. 1-2, at Milo McIver State Park near Estacada. It is open to the public and discounted for George Fox students and employees.

The course is ideal for anyone who enjoys outdoor recreation, especially those who love to share the outdoors with other people.

Participants in the two-day course will learn Leave No Trace skills and ethics, as well as techniques for educating others about these low-impact practices. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive certificates and become official instructors of Leave No Trace.
