Get familiar with new Canvas Learning Management System
You might already be aware that George Fox has moved from the FoxTALE course management system to Canvas. For those of you who are new to Canvas or just want a refresher, here are some resources to help you get familiar with the system:
- Three- to five-minute videos giving an overview of Canvas and specific components of the platform.
- The Passport to Canvas site within Canvas provides a deeper dive into the system and is a great way to become “expert†in using Canvas. Each module will probably take 10 to 20 minutes, but it will be well worth the time.
- Detailed step-by-step guides for functions within Canvas.
Consider having your Canvas page (canvas.georgefox.edu) open in one window and follow the steps in the tutorials to get a good handle on how to navigate Canvas. You may want to consider adding this link in your Chrome bookmarks or Firefox browser.
