Bruin Community Pantry needs your donations

At the bi-annual meeting of Yamhill Community Action Partnership, Jere Witherspoon learned why the food bank was unable to purchase needed items: tariffs and the good economy.

Very little hope was given that this would change soon. This is a call to action for everyone who has a yellow grocery bag!

The Bruin Community Pantry needs donations like:

  • Pasta – other than spaghetti
  • Tomato sauces
  • One can meals – stews
  • Boxed meals
  • Alternative milk products
  • Cereal – not individual oatmeal packets
  • Grains
  • Hearty soups
  • Vegetables
  • Beans – kidney, black, refried, white beans
  • Gluten-free products – pasta

You can drop off your donations at the following locations:

  • Bruin Store
  • Stevens Center – Student Life office or Barbi Doran’s desk
  • Roberts Center – during food bank’s open hours

We are also running low on the 100 bags that were initially put into play. If you have a bag, please fill it up and deliver it to one of the locations.
