Plan to attend lecture on ACL injury and rehabilitation

The School of Physical Therapy is excited to host Christopher M. Powers to lecture on the topic: “Mechanisms of ACL Injury: Implications for Evidence Based Rehabilitation, Injury Prevention and Return to Sport Decisions.”

The lecture will be given on Thursday, Nov. 7, in Hoover 105 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Powers’ lecture will focus on recent insights into the pathomechanics of ACL injury, in particular those related to female athletes. Implications of research and application for athletes, coaches and rehab clinicians will be highlighted.

Powers, a national leader in this area of sports injury, is a professor in the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy as well as co-director of the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Southern California.
