Research survey seeks your input

The university is participating in a research study titled “Leading Change: Examining the Relationships Between Leadership Style, Organizational Culture and Change Readiness in Christian Universities,” and your input is requested.

This study is part of a dissertation project in our DBA program. If you have questions, please contact Linda Samek (lsamek@georgefox.edu).

The survey will likely take between 12 to 15 minutes. All staff and administrators are encouraged to submit feedback to this study, although participation is completely voluntary. All responses are and will remain anonymous.

The undergraduate admissions office is seeking qualified candidates to work as paid interns in the areas of admissions counseling, visit coordinating, and event coordinating for the 2019-20 academic year. This is a great opportunity to get a professional internship on campus.

Applications and job descriptions are currently available on Handshake.  Applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. today (Tuesday).

NSLS is seeking student leaders

The National Society of Leadership and Success is seeking more student leaders. Our volunteer leadership roles take one to three hours a week. You will gain pre-professional skills that will enhance your ability to lead. 

If you are a member of NSLS, consider applying for one of the open leadership roles in NSLS: secretary, treasurer, publicity chair, IT coordinator, membership outreach chair, and community service chair.

Areas around Crisman Crossing and Canyon Commons will close this week

Today (Monday) through Wednesday, March 27, the grounds team will be doing tree work to remove hazards around Canyon Commons.

The Canyon Commons Plaza will be closed as well as the asphalt path between Canyon Commons and the Hess Creek canyon wall. Additionally, the Crisman Crossing bridge will be closed for short periods of time over the three days. Please plan for delays if you rely on the bridge to take you across campus.

Hadlock Student Center announces spring break hours

The Hadlock Student Center will be open throughout spring break. Come in and enjoy the space while it’s quiet. See our modified hours below:

  • Monday-Thursday, March 25-28: 6-9 a.m., 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., 5-7 p.m.
  • Friday, March 29: Closed
  • Saturday, March 30: 2-6 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 31: 2-10 p.m. (return to normal operating hours)

Together, we will continue to build a philanthropic culture on campus, raising student awareness of the impact philanthropy has and equipping you with experience in a relevant field.

Swing by Red Robin during spring break to support PT program’s Africa service trip

This summer the university’s physical therapy department is taking a medical service trip to Ghana and Uganda to serve a diverse and less privileged community.

To help raise funds for the trip, we are doing a fundraiser at Red Robin in Sherwood. A portion of the evening’s profits go to support our trip. Come order some food between 5 and 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, to help support our cause!
