All welcome to June 22 workshop on providing ‘soul care’ for college students

Mentoring college students is exciting and meaningful work. Sometimes, though, students may be experiencing life circumstances that mentors feel under-equipped to help students navigate.

The Office for Spiritual Life is hosting a free workshop, featuring speaker Dr. Chris Adams, to equip employees and community partners with tools for providing “soul care” for college students. Join us on Friday, June 22, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Canyon Commons 101 for this helpful discussion, titled “Soul Care for College Students and the College Mental Health Crisis.” All are welcome.

Adams has a PhD in clinical and family psychology and a master’s degree in theology, both from Fuller Theological Seminary, and holds an MS in marriage and family therapy. Adams has served in pastoral ministry for more than 15 years and is currently the director for the Center for Vocational Ministry at Azusa Pacific University.
