Longtime medical missions alumni speak at Friday’s auxiliary lunch
The George Fox Auxiliary invites the university community to a special luncheon on Friday, March 2, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Canyon Commons dining hall.
Jon and Marita Bishop, two 1967 George Fox graduates who have spent 40 years doing medial missions work all over the world, will speak. They are currently training family practice physicians in Afghanistan. Their visit is the latest installment of the auxiliary’s “George Fox Alumni Serving in the World†theme for its luncheons this spring.
The final session, on Wednesday, May 2, will feature professional musician Wendy Clark Goodwin, a 2000 George Fox alumna.
The cost to attend is $10 per person, and payment may be made at the door. Reservations are preferred and can by arranged by calling Judy Woolsey at 971-832-1505.
