All invited to handbell ‘open house’ tonight in Ross 219

Interested in joining the handbell choir? We’re looking for ringers for the 2016-17 year, and we’d love for you to join us! We meet once a week, on Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Ross 219.

Our first rehearsal, tonight (Thursday), is a handbell “open house” for you to come try out ringing in an open, no-pressure environment. Come join us and see if ringing in a handbell choir is right for you!

Ringing handbells has numerous benefits, including:

  • Enjoying participation and building confidence making music in a small ensemble
  • Exploring the skills of handbell playing through rehearsal and performance
  • Building rhythmic and sight-reading skills, and
  • Growing in ability as a musician using handbells and a variety of musical styles and techniques

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at barefootcomposer@gmail.com. Otherwise, I hope to see you tonight!

Sincerely,
– Chris Reed, Director
