Calvin professor speaks on campus tomorrow about churches, poverty

Many congregations engage in some sort of social service delivery that addresses issues of poverty. However, what they do and why they do it varies greatly. Mark Mulder, an associate professor of sociology at Calvin College, will speak at George Fox to specifically examine the inability of white evangelicals to see and understand structural injustice as a perpetuating cause of poverty in the United States.

Join us tomorrow (Thursday) at 7:30 p.m. in Hoover 105. The event is free and open to the public. Mark’s visit is being made possible with support from the Center for Peace and Justice.
