Join us for free Fox French Film Festival tonight in Hoover 105

The university’s French and cinema programs invite you to the first of two evenings that make up the university’s fourth Fox French Film Festival. Join us tonight (Friday) for the opening of the festival in Hoover 105.

Showing tonight will be the movies La Première Etoile (Meet the Elizabethz) and Les Saveurs du Palais (Haute Cuisine) at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively. The former is a lighthearted comedy about a family of French Caribbean descent living in a French suburb who decide to go skiing for the first time during spring break. The latter is a comedy based on the extraordinary true story of President François Mitterand’s private cook, Hortense Laborie.

Filmgoers will also have the chance to indulge in crêpes and other French fare during the intermission for free between the shows.

The festival concludes with two more films next Friday night, March 6 (details to come).
