‘Johnny’ short film auditions scheduled this Saturday

We are looking for actors interested in performing in Johnny, a short film to be shot for an advanced filmmaking class at George Fox. It’s a thoughtful and dark short film about a teenager who decides, a little too late, that he doesn’t want to die alone. We’re looking for four 16- to 22-year-old male actors for this short three-minute film.

We’re looking for:

  • Johnny (17-18), the suicidal teenager
  • Eric (17-18), the concerned, protective friend
  • Jake (17-18), the angry, emotional friend
  • Cole (17-18), the consoling, comic relief

Filming will take place in Newberg for two weekends (Oct. 5-6 and Oct. 12). No pay, but we’ll provide meals and a DVD copy of the film. Auditions will be held this Saturday in the CMCO video studio (brick building across the street from Lemmons) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

To schedule an audition, please contact Sarah Bartolome at sbartolome11@georgefox.edu. We know it’s a bit of a short notice, so if you are interested, but are unable to make the Saturday audition, we would still love to have you audition, so let us know ASAP and we can work out alternate arrangements.
