Winter Serve 2013! Â (Jan. 7-12, 2013)
Here is a summary of the trips planned.
Portland
The trip will spend a week in downtown Portland serving and learning from the house-less. We will partner with several outreach ministries to see how each is reaching out to the community. We will also serve people’s needs directly with food and supplies and listening ears to hear their struggles and stories.
Seattle
A trek north to the Emerald City to partner with local ministries in the Seattle area focusing on service in urban communities.
Twin Rocks Camp, Rockaway Beach, Ore.
This almost monastic service opportunity has a special focus on “discipleship in the Way of Jesus,” as well as practical service benefiting the ongoing ministries of this Friends Camp & Conference Center. Â Student leaders from the SpiL House will abound, but all are invited to participate in this “SpiLgrimage” to meet with Christ on the coast.
