Social media expert presents on campus Nov. 22

How can social media greatly benefit the promotion of a business or ministry?

Anne Burbank, co-owner of a Vancouver, Wash., company focusing on Internet strategies, will provide her insights at the Tuesday, Nov. 22, Newberg meeting for the Christian Chamber of Commerce of the Northwest. The meeting is from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the Villa Academic Complex.

Burbank is the social media administrator and art director of Northwest Web Construction Company (NWWCC), a Vancouver-based web presence development company formed in 1998 by Anne and her husband of 31 years, Kelly Burbank. Over the past 14 years, NWWCC has gained an outstanding reputation for helping small businesses and organizations thrive online.

In addition to more than 26 years of combined graphic design, business administration and marketing experience, Burbank oversees the company’s social media division. She will discuss some of the basics of social media and the benefits of using it, and share a few tactical ways to incorporate social media networking into marketing plans.

Coffee, tea and pastries will be available at the meeting, which is free for newly renewed Chamber members who R.S.V.P. at cccnw.net. A $5 donation is suggested from non-members and guests who R.S.V.P.
