Sex trafficking topic of IJM’s annual ‘Closing the Gap’ event
The university’s International Justice Mission chapter will host its annual event, “Closing the Gap: Addressing the Mentality Behind Sex Slavery,” this week. The four-day event will address the issue of sex trafficking.
Here is the schedule:
- On Monday night (Nov. 14) the movie Born Into Brothels will be shown in Bauman Auditorium at 8 p.m.Students can receive chapel credit for attending.
- Tuesday and Wednesday will feature panels of speakers from the Portland metro area and from George Fox faculty in Hoover 102 at 8 p.m. both nights.
-  On Thursday, the event concludes with a free concert by advocacy band Jubilee in the Foxhole at 8 p.m.
