Alpha regional director Petersen speaks on campus Nov. 23

The university will host a breakfast featuring Kirk Petersen, regional director in Oregon for Alpha, a course on the basics of the Christian faith, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, in the Villa Academic Complex.

The event, hosted by the Christian Chamber of Commerce of the Northwest, is free for chamber members who R.S.V.P. at cccnw.net. It costs $8 for non-members and those who R.S.V.P., and $10 at the door.

Petersen helps churches effectively connect with people in their communities by running Alpha courses. He has been a pastor for 17 years, working most of that time directly with middle and high school students. He is a graduate of Biola University and earned a master’s degree from Western Seminary in Portland.
