Thursday Chamber concert features several ensembles
Several of the university’s ensembles, including the Handbell Ringers, Clarinet Trio, String Ensemble, Flute Quartet and Keyboard Ensemble, will perform in a Fall Chamber Concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, in Bauman Auditorium. Admission is free.
The Handbell Ringers will perform Celtic Noel, arranged by Sondra K. Tucker; Fantasia on Greensleeves, arranged by Kevin McChesney; and On This Day Earth Shall Ring, arranged by Cathy Moklebust. The Clarinet Trio will play Andantino, by Ernst Streben. The Flute Quartet will play La Lune, Les Etoiles, by Catherine McMichael.
Other selections include String Quintet in C Major ‘Allegro man non troppo’ (Franz Schubert) by the String Ensemble, and Keyboard Ensemble pieces Scherzo, by Diabelle; Five Spanish Dances, op. 12, ‘Allegro Brioso,’ by Moszkowski; and Six Pieces, op. 11, ‘Waltz,’ by Rachmaninoff.
