Community invited to MLK chapel Wednesday in Bauman Auditorium
Come join the university community in celebrating MLK Day in chapel on Wednesday, Jan. 20. The theme of the 10:40 a.m. event in Bauman Auditorium is “Beloved Community,” after Martin Luther King Jr.’s own desire to see us come together in unity, and will feature Act Six scholar Courtney Greenidge and her family.
Greenidge, a chapel worship leader and multicultural programs assistant, has taken the lead in making this day meaningful and impactful for our community. She will be performing with her family as they sing, speak and invite others to worship through gospel.
Her father, Timothy Greenidge, is a nationally known producer and audio designer. Also joining will be Courtney’s uncle and aunt, David and Deborah Greenidge. David is senior pastor of Tigard Covenant Church and Deborah is the worship & arts pastor at Turning Point Christian Center in Vancouver, Wash.
