Engineering’s annual ‘Wobble-Off’ event returns Dec. 10

The university’s engineering department will present its sixth annual “Wobble-Off” competition from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, in the Ron Gregory Atrium in EHS.

Come and enjoy this demonstration of freshman engineering students’ first project — a variety of oscillating steam/air-operated engines. The event highlights the students’ first-year studies in engineering design, solid modeling and machining. The students’ engines will compete in a variety of categories, including maximum speed, minimum vibration, maximum coast, cost efficiency and creativity/craftsmanship.
