Winter Choral Concert scheduled Saturday in Bauman Auditorium
George Fox will host a Winter Choral Concert featuring the university’s Concert Choir, Women’s Chorale, and Chamber Singers on Saturday, March 8. The 7:30 p.m. concert will take place in Bauman Auditorium. Doors open at 7 p.m., and there is no admission charge.
The Chamber Singers, directed by Loren Wenz, will perform selections that include Let Joyful Anthems Rise by George Frideric Handel and Exultate Deo by Alessandro Scarlatti. The Women’s Chorale, directed by Gary Frame, will sing Music, Spread Thy Voice Around by George Frideric Handel, Omnia Sol (Let Your Heart Be Staid) by Z. Randall Stroope, and A Girl’s Garden (from Frostiana – seven Country Songs) by Randall Thompson (words based on poem by Robert Frost).
The Concert Choir, directed by Wenz, will include Praise, My Soul the King of Heaven by Henry Francis Lyte and It is Well With My Soul by Philip P. Bliss among its seven selections.
