There has been a problem with students leaving their doors unlocked on the student houses and apartments over the years. It was decided awhile ago that we would install storeroom locks on all the exterior doors of the houses and apartments. This is the type of lock where it can’t be left unlocked. It’s always locked and when you open it and remove the key it relocks.

Last year I started gradually installing these on some of the houses as we had the money to do it. Now there has been enough money to purchase all the locks for the entire campus.

Starting this week and continuing throughout the school year I will be coming to various houses and apartments to be installing these. These are the houses and apartments that still need locks installed on them:

Beals Hs.
Campbell Hs.
Fell Hs.
Gulley Hs.
Hoskins Hs.
Kelsey Hs.
Kershner Hs.
Lewis Apts.
Schomburg Hs.
Villa Rd. Hs.
Weesner Hs.
Weesner Village
Woolman Apts.

The remainder of the housing areas already have the locks installed on them.

I just wanted to give you a head’s up on this so that you know I’ll be doing this. I won’t be calling ahead to schedule the work unless you prefer it that way. If you prefer that someone is there in your housing area while I do the work please let me know and I will schedule a time.
