Registrar’s office presents FERPA training on both Newberg and Portland campuses

September 11th, 2017

Did you know that, as a George Fox employee, you are responsible for protecting student records under a federal law known as FERPA?

Wondering what that means for you? Then take advantage of our new FERPA training.

You can complete the training individually through a powerpoint presentation, though we also recommend you participate in one of our in-person trainings as well.

In-person trainings will be available:

  • On the Newberg campus on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 10 a.m. in Canyon Commons (CCD 101)
  • At the Portland Center on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 10:30 a.m. in PDS 155

Please sign up here so we can save you a seat.

Even if you have worked here a long time and know what FERPA is, we recommend all employees complete the in-person training or review the presentation on their own. It is a complex law!

Our FERPA motto: When in doubt, don’t give it out! Contact the registrar’s office.
