At the end of the spring semester a university-wide bicycle “clean-up” will be done. Here are the details:
- Bicycles that are illegally parked, unregistered or inoperable will be impounded.
- Bicycle racks need to be cleared to do routine maintenance to the bicycle racks and surrounding areas.
- The basement of Gulley Hall will no longer be a place to store bikes. The space will be used for other needs after April 30.
- Bikes will be tagged the Monday after graduation week (April 30) and rounded up the following Friday (May 4).
- In order to accommodate the maintenance of the bike rack areas, bicycles may not be stored on campus during the summer. If you are not going to be on campus using your bicycle during the summer, please remove it.
- Juniors Abroad students and students using their bikes during the summer must remove their bikes from campus racks and move them to their place of summer residence or a temporary place of storage before the round-up on May 4.
- Bicycles NOT picked up from the impound lot by May 31 will be forwarded to the local charities at the discretion of campus public safety department. Junk bicycles will be recycled.

Summer is here and we’re sure you have exciting places to go and things to do! We also know that many of you have jobs or internships (or both) planned for this summer, and we really want to know what those are. This information is helpful to us for many reasons, especially because we love to brag about the amazing things our students do outside of the classroom. We’re even putting together a campaign that will highlight several students and their summer internship experiences, and we’d love to include you!
On top of that, we’ll be giving away a $25 Amazon gift card to one lucky respondent! Click on this link to complete our two-minute survey. Questions? Contact Grace Packer.
