If you haven’t already, please take a minute to confirm your meal plan for the spring 2019 semester.
Please check out the Meal Plan Policies & Procedures website for detailed information. Most of you will already have your spring meal plan confirmed and selected. Some of you may wish to change your meal plan. If you are eligible to do so, please read this message carefully.
Students living on campus are eligible for meal plans based on the number of completed credits earned. If you are counting on your completed credits from fall semester to give you more options than you have, you may have to wait until after all the grades have been entered. Grades are due Sunday, Dec. 23.
Students who fail to select their meal plan by Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, may be assigned the LOWEST meal plan that they are eligible for. Changes made after Jan. 14, 2019, may be subject to our refund policy. The final deadline for all declining meal-plan changes will be Friday, Jan. 25, 2019.
Please include your student ID number when making an inquiry about your meal plan.

The library has three faculty study rooms available for those needing a quiet area for study and research. They may be reserved for one semester at a time (fall, spring, summer).
If you are interested in requesting a room for next year (spring term), please fill out this Google form. Requests will be prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note the form requires a George Fox email address.

The Finance office will be closed from Dec. 22 through Jan 1. Deposits that need to have a December 2018 date must be deposited no later than noon on Friday, Dec. 21. If it arrives later, it will go into a deposit for January 2019. Please look around your desks and file cabinets to see if there are any lingering items that need to go to the bank.
If you are taking extra time off during the Christmas/New Year holiday, please send your deposits over BEFORE you leave.

Tomorrow (Wednesday), the Photography Club will be hosting a photo booth from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Bruin Den. The theme will be a surprise, and props will be provided. All are welcome to come get their pictures taken, individually or with friends (bring as many as you like).

Our social work senior research class is conducting a survey on self-care education and practices among helping profession majors. We ask that only nursing, psychology and social work majors fill out this survey, due to its tailored content. Please fill out the survey by today (Monday).
We would love your input on helping us understand how self-care education and practices is or is not being incorporated into your education and its impact on your personal life. This survey should only take five to 10 minutes!

Does the success of science and the discovery of the laws of nature threaten the plausibility of miracles? How should we think about miracles in light of the philosopher David Hume’s influential skeptical arguments?
These are among the questions being discussed at a “Doubters Town Hall: Objections to Miracles” tonight (Sunday) from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in EHS 102. The event is being hosted by the William Penn Honors Program.
Isaac Choi, who studied physics and chemistry at Harvard before his graduate studies in theology and philosophy, will be exploring these questions in a talk, followed by a town-hall format discussion with Choi, Abigail Favale and Ross McCullough.
