The William Penn Honors Program will be the topic of a Legacy League luncheon at noon this Friday, Nov. 8, in Canyon Commons. Speaking will be Javier Garcia, associate director of the program and assistant professor of religious studies.

Google is urging Chrome users to upgrade to an updated version of the Chrome browser due to a recent security threat that makes users vulnerable to computer hijacking. You can read more about the threat here.
You can update to the latest version of Chrome (version 78.0.3904.87) by opening the web browser, selecting “Preferences,” and selecting “About Chrome” from the left menu. This will automatically update Chrome (if automatic updates are turned on) or give you the option to select the update.

Using free (or nearly free) technology such as iMovie, Quicktime, Google Chrome, phone and tablet screen recorders, Adobe Spark, and YouTube, we will show you how to get started and finished in a flash.
This is a five-lesson, asynchronous, online course that is free to all George Fox employees and can be completed on your own time. The course is ready for you to start as soon as you’d like!

A new art exhibition, titled “Turnabout,” opens tonight (Monday) in Minthorne Gallery. The exhibition, featuring the work of Iranian artist Soheila Azadi, begins with an artist talk at the Chehalem Cultural Arts Center at 6 p.m., followed by a reception in the Minthorne Gallery at 7 p.m.
The exhibition will be available for viewing until Thursday, Dec. 5.
“Turnabout,” inspired by the artist’s experience growing up Muslim in Iran, aims to blur gender binaries. Azadi uses different media to challenge ways in which gender and religion intersect.

The Graduate School of Physical Therapy is looking for volunteers to participate in a lab session on the lower extremity.
If you have a problem with your hip, knee, ankle or foot, our lab is the place to be! Our doctor of physical therapy second-year students, along with faculty members, will be performing examinations and giving you direction on how to take care of your condition.
Volunteers are needed for either a one- or two-hour session between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Roberts Center.

Outdoor Rec (OREC) is offering an overnight snowshoe trip that will head to the Mountain View Shelter near Santiam Pass on Jan. 9-10.
This is a fantastic opportunity to spend time outside with others while learning about backcountry travel and camping in a winter environment. The best part is that we will have access to the shelter to stay warm and play games.
