Each year, you have a new group of fresh faces eager to learn in your classroom. But it’s four weeks into the semester and several students are crumbling in front of your eyes – and all you did was ask them to write a one-page reaction paper.
Come to this faculty development session today (Wednesday) from 3 to 5 p.m. in Stevens 109 to learn why students are so overwhelmed, anxious and fragile.
From the “worried well†to the “seriously swamped†to the “clinically anxious,†we’ll discuss how we got here and how you as faculty can ensure your students are learning what they need to learn while mentoring them in ways that fulfill the “Be Known” promise.
Questions? Contact Bill Buhrow at bbuhrow@georgefox.edu.
