It takes a village to make our football games a success. Interested in a volunteer opportunity to serve our awesome Bruin football fans? Then Bruin Brigade is the place for you!
The Bruin Brigade is a team of volunteers who help at the ticket tent, gates, and direct traffic in the parking lots prior to every home game. The team arrives two hours before kickoff and are free to enjoy the rest of the game starting at halftime.
All volunteers will receive a meal prior to each game they volunteer, free entry into the second half of the game, and a T-shirt. (Please note T-shirts are available for volunteers that are able to commit to all three remaining games … thank you.)
If this sounds like something you would like to help with, please email Mindy Mickelson in the athletics department at mmickelson@georgefox.edu with your first and last name, the games you can volunteer, and your T-shirt size.
Please note: We are asking for a three-game commitment to receive a T-shirt. Volunteers working the gates will need to be willing to use their phone to scan in tickets through the HomeTown Gate app (free on app store). WiFi is available at the gates.
2021 Football Schedule:
- Saturday, Oct. 9, vs Willamette at 1 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 23, vs Pacific at 1 p.m.

Rest. Recover. Restore.
Three simple words with such great weight. Our focus for the month of October is to promote health and wellness through caring for our body, mind and spirit.
We recognize that this past year and a half has been stressful, from needing to be flexible at a last minute’s notice, to dealing with the uncertainties that lie ahead. Stress has unfortunately become more of a friend than a foe, resulting in a decreased capacity to care for ourselves.
This month, we want to provide you with resources and outlets that will promote rest of the physical body and restore the mind and spirit. Let’s rest, recover, and restore together.
Contact Aga Luptak (aluptak@georgefox.edu) if you have questions.

The George Fox student community is welcome to audition for the university theatre’s winter musical, Godspell. General auditions will be on Monday, Oct. 25, from 7 to 10 p.m. in Wood-Mar Auditorium.
Co-curricular students (anyone not a theatre major or minor) are instructed to prepare a 90-second monologue and one minute of a Broadway song of your choice. If you can’t find your own monologue, we will have monologues at the audition table for you to pick up and read (no need to memorize, or find your own, if you’d rather not). However, your song must be your choice.
If you are up for the challenge, bring your sheet music with you so our accompanist can play for you. Or, if that feels too scary, either bring recorded instrumental music that you can play on your phone, or sing it for us without accompaniment (a cappella). In short, if you want to audition we want you there!
Theatre majors and minors: Prepare a fully memorized and rehearsed 90-second monologue and one minute of a Broadway song of your choice for the general audition (bring sheet music to the audition).
All: Callbacks will feature cold readings, dance auditions and vocal work. Callbacks will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 26-27, from 7 to 10 p.m. in the same location.
The cast will include five women and five men. Go to this Google link to sign up for a five-minute time slot.
