George Fox University’s theatre department is pleased to announce that its production of The Play That Goes Wrong opens this Thursday, March 9.
Performances in Wood-Mar Auditorium are scheduled as follows:
- Thursday-Saturday, March 9-11, at 7:30 p.m.
- Thursday-Saturday, March 16-18, at 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, March 12, and Sunday, March 19, at 2 p.m.

Tickets for the Oregon Symphony concert on the Newberg campus will be available on Monday, March 13.
George Fox University and Austin Industries will host the Oregon Symphony for its 35th annual performance in Bauman Auditorium on Friday, March 24, at 8 p.m. This year’s program is titled “Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto.”
A limited number of tickets have been provided for George Fox half-time and full-time employees. Tickets are limited to two per employee on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 13, at the Welcome & Information Center in Stevens. There will be a waitlist for any additional tickets. Reservations may be taken for Portland Center employees only.

Providence Basecamp’s monthly “Healthy Conversations” series connects you to experts who offer insight into better understanding what you need to know for your health or that of your loved ones.
Tomorrow (Tuesday), you’re invited to a conversation hosted by Dr. James Beckerman, medical director of heart programs at the Providence Heart Institute, and guest Dr. Michael Layoun of the Jack Loacker Center for Cardio-Oncology. They will discuss “Cancer and the Heart Connection” from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will be hosting Scholarship Summit on campus today! With around 350 visitors expected, we are asking George Fox students and employees to help extend the Be Known promise throughout the day. Here’s what you can keep in mind:
- Use street parking instead of campus parking lots. Guests will be arriving on campus between 7:45 and 8:30 a.m. and will fill all the main campus parking lots.
- Be mindful of guests in your housing area. We will have housing tours circulating through Edwards, Gulley, Pennington, HMS, and Brandt from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tour groups will be viewing dorm lobbies and a room on the first floor of each dorm.
- Plan for a busier-than-usual Canyon Commons. Guests will be going through the main server line and will be encouraged to dine in CCD 101-103. If you see a family looking for a spot to sit, invite them to join you!

George Fox has partnered with Jennifer Stahel from Providence Health Assurance to provide Medicare 101 seminars this month, and our last session is today (Friday) at 11:30 a.m. Family members are encouraged to join, and everyone will have a chance to ask questions.

- Addressing the different parts of Medicare (the A, B, C & D’s of Medicare)
- What are the differences between Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement?

Join the Fencing Club today (Friday) from 5 to 6 p.m. on the Hadlock basketball court!
No prior experience is necessary. All equipment is provided, but a water bottle and athletic clothes/shoes are recommended. We will be teaching on distance and measure, which is how far you should stay from your opponent. The game will be “Captives,” which is swordplay but with your hands tied behind your back.

The Maker Hub’s Ortery PhotoBench is a device that enables users to take still photos, 360 photos, and videos of various products and items on flat white backgrounds. The photo table is perfect for creating professional-grade product photos for projects and presentations. Check out this video to see how it works!
The Maker Hub exists as a resource and creative outlet for the entire George Fox community (yes, including non-engineers). We are looking for student aces. A student ace is simply an expert on a piece of equipment who helps train other students on the usage of that equipment and gains extra privileges within the Maker Hub.
