Attention all COMM/ORCO/CMCO majors/minors

AND all those interested in majoring/minoring in Communication Arts, Organizational Communication, or Cinema and Media Communication!!!

There will be an informational meeting on:

 Tuesday, January 30, from 5:30-6:30 pm, in Minthorn 200.

Clella Jaffe, Comm professor and department chair, will explain the changes in requirements that will take effect in these majors next year, and will answer any and all questions.  There will be food and drinks (probably pizza and sodas)!  If you are a Communications major or are considering majoring in one of these three disciplines, please come!

Summer Language Study Scholarship Opportunity

Middlebury College in Vermont provides students with unlimited opportunities to speak and study their target language. Most students gain a year or more of college-level language learning in one intensive summer session.

The languages offered are: Arabic, Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Russian.

New this summer is the Kathryn Wasserman Davis scholarship which covers the full cost of the Language Study Program at Middlebury.

Professor Daniel Coste from the Council of Europe will be giving a talk on:

The talk will be in French geared towards students who have an intermediate to advanced level of French. A reception for all participants, hosted by The Oregon Association of Teachers of French, will follow.

If you are a student who would like to get involved with orientation for the fall 2007 applications for Co-Coordinator positions will be available beginning on Monday, January 22, 2007 at 8:30am in the Student Life Office located on the third floor of the Stevens Center and will be due by 5pm on Friday, February 2.  We will be hiring two students to coordinate new student orientation these positions will replace the Director of New Student Orientation position.
