Commencement Tickets for the 2:00 p.m., April 28, Traditional Undergraduate ceremony

To students that have indicated they are participating in the 2:00 p.m. ceremony – commencement tickets have been placed in your campus boxes.  Due to the large number of traditional undergraduates involved in the 2:00 p.m. commencement ceremony, tickets will be required for admission. 

Each graduate will receive two sets of tickets: eight for the Miller Gymnasium and six for Bauman Auditorium, where there will be a live broadcast and comfortable air-conditioned seating. Extra tickets are not available.  Additional commencement information can be found at:

Wanted: Feedback on the Housing Selection Process

The first step is to indicate with Human Resources that you desire to live on campus.  The next step is to come to Student Life and get a Summer Housing Form or print one out from here. Only students who are working full-time on campus and have turned in a Summer Housing Form will be given housing on campus for the summer months.

Hosts needed for Equality Riders

The Student Life office is seeking hosts for the Equality Riders on Thursday, April 5th.

If you would like to be a host/hostess you will need to be available for most of the day: between 9 am and 4 pm. 

Hosts would not be expected to be with their guest the entire day.  It would be best if hosts can plan to share the lunch meal and be available for most of the day.

Starting this Fall ~ New “Shared Praxis” cohort is forming

Shared Praxis consists of 4 sequential semester courses (4 credits each) designed to:

  1. lead students through an exploration of their personal journey and call to ministry in the context of community;

  2. assist students in building a theological framework for ministry;

  3.  explore and develop specific skills for ministry;

  4. apply all the above in practical ministry through an internship
     
    If you are interested in developing ministry leadership skills (both theologically and practically) within the context of a caring learning community of persons committed to sharing personal faith and ministry journeys and growing together spiritually, please stop by the Religious Studies Dept. The Student Life Office has applications and job descriptions ready for the taking for those interested in applying to work on campus with summer residents. The job is varied in its tasks which range from administrative duties such as check in/out procedures for all students on campus as well as helping create community during the summer months.
