Custodial Services requests your patience in the coming weeks. The department is down to 14 custodial supervisors who are trying to clean almost 800,000 square feet of building space per day while also trying to work in the training of new student employees.
So far, only 29 students are employed – far fewer than the usual 90 to 100 who end up working. If you have concerns over garbage not being removed or floors being unswept or vacuumed, don’t hesitate to e-mail the Plant Services office. A work request will be created and Custodial Services will get to the request as quickly as possible.Â

Do you know a student who has been consistently missing class? Do you know a student who appears to have gained or lost weight in a short amount of time? Are you aware of a student whose demeanor has changed or who appears to be depressed? Is a student in your class struggling academically?
It might be time to refer her or his name to the Student Support Network (SSN) by completing an “Intervention Alert Form.â€
The SSN is a program designed to identify and assist undergraduate students who are struggling academically, socially, or personally. For more information and to access the interventional alert form, you can go to The Student Support Network webpage.
For more information contact Jere Witherspoon in the Student Life office.

George Fox’s student newspaper, The Crescent, is looking for an undergraduate student for the position of business manager at George Fox’s Newberg campus for the 2007-2008 school year. I was hoping that you might be able to advertise this opportunity in the GFU E-nnouncements. The business manager’s responsibilities include:
Selling ads weekly, coordinating artwork for ads, and handling all billing and collection for ads
Processing all check requests and mail, paying bills, and returning business calls
Working with ASC staff to maintain a balanced budget for The Crescent
In the past, ad clients have ranged from George Fox departments to local businesses to large companies such as GEICO. This position includes a stipend whose amount has not been determined yet. This is a great opportunity for an accounting or business student to gain valuable experience. I would appreciate it get this information out to our student community, putting me down as a contact at this e-mail address. Thank you for your time.
