Celebrate Oregon Arbor Week this week by planting trees in Hess Creek Canyon on Tuesday, April 7. We will be meeting on the bridge at 3 p.m. and working until 7 p.m., but feel free to join us whenever you can. Trees, tools and snacks will be provided, so just come ready for some light work. The canyon is the backyard of our campus; come help make it better.
With the deadline for filing our tax returns just over a week away, this might be a good time to be sure you still have your W-2, which is required to be filed with your taxes. If you have lost it, you can get a replacement W-2 for a $5 replacement fee.Â
If you need one, please email HR at hr@georgefox.edu with your request and include your ID number. It may take 2 business days to process a replacement W-2, so please submit your request by Thursday, April 9 if you will need one.
You will be notified by email when your W-2 is ready. Please bring $5 with you when you come to pick it up. This cannot be handled as a payroll deduction on a future pay check.

The George Fox Behavioral Health Clinic is offering an eight-week, educational parenting skills group free of charge. The group, designed for parents of all ages, will meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. each Monday from April 20 through June 8. The sessions will help parents develop behaviors they want from their kids without getting angry, improve bonding with their children, improve child compliance with directions, and reduce power struggles with children.

On Monday, April 13, from noon to 3:30 p.m. in the EHS and Hoover atriums, the 186 seniors in Liberal Arts and Critical Issues (G.E. senior capstone) will present their research exhibits on the Future of the American Dream. Please come and see what the students have been researching this semester.
In addition, we still need six judges for the LACI exhibit. Each judge spends about one hour evaluating five projects. We provide rubrics and a small gift for your time. This is a reminder that your university password has been set to expire at 9 a.m. Monday, April 13, as part of the university’s annual password reset for all students, faculty and staff. Please login to Bruindata to change your password before that date.
All accounts with passwords that remain unchanged will be locked at 9 a.m. Monday April 13, preventing you from using university services. Once this occurs, you will need to contact the IT Service Desk to get your password reset.
Based on the recommendations of our auditing firm and following best practices, we will be changing university logins at regular intervals. For details, please refer to the password change policy on the IT website. We need to complete a campus password reset prior to the end of the spring semester.
Note: You are not being asked to send your login information to anyone. Rather, you are using the current university password change process that allows the individual to reset their own password.
Password Self-Service Feature
Once you have reset your password, you will be presented with the option to set “security questions” for your account. If you choose not to enter answers at this time, you can later create a self-service password reset option by logging into Bruindata, selecting the “My Data” tab and then “Security Questions.”
You will need to answer two security questions from the drop-down list and provide a non-George Fox e-mail address to activate this option. If you forgot your password, a temporary password will be sent to your non-George Fox e-mail, allowing you to log into Bruindata and change your university login password.
Spring is the time to start planning ahead for fall printing. Print Services welcomes your last-minute jobs, but we function much better if we don’t have to be doing everything last minute. So the more lead time we have, the happier you (and we) will be.
Those who will need copyright permission for fall 2009 classes should collect resources now and submit your requests to Print Services before you leave for the summer. If you do have a rush order, we recommend you send it via e-mail and then call to confirm the submission. Or, you may bring your order in and, if feasible, wait for it.
