Mark Benjamin (Spiritual Life) and his family will be leaving our community at the end May. To honor them, we are throwing an open house/celebration/going away party from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at the Spiritual Life House. Mark is moving to Georgia for the summer and eventually to North Carolina to help with a church plant. Feel free to stop in whenever you can and let Mark know how much you appreciate him!

Book Buyback is this Wednesday through Friday, April 29 to May 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your books to the main entrance right outside the University Store in the SUB. See what your books are worth by going to store.georgefox.edu, selecting the “Main Store” heading, then clicking “Sell” next to “Textbooks” at the top of the page.

During finals week and the first week of May term, the University Store hours will change to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday (April 27 to May 8). Graduation store hours on May 2 will be 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The bookstore will be closed on Saturdays the rest of the summer. Summer store hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday starting May 11.

Have a laptop you could donate or sell for a low price?
A group of men and women being trained for pastoral work and other leadership positions in their churches in Rwanda would like to learn the basics of computer operation to help them get jobs to support their ministry. For this training, at least two laptops are needed with Windows and Office on them.
If you have such a computer you’re not using, the Juniors Abroad group going to Rwanda in May could deliver it. If interested, contact Lon Fendall (Center for Global Studies/Center of Peace and Justice) at ext. 2685 or lfendall@georgefox.edu.

Tilikum is offering a unique opportunity for a women’s retreat May 15-17. We are planning an adventure-based retreat for women on our challenge course and would like to invite any George Fox employees to participate at a special rate of $110 per person for the weekend (more than 25 percent discount).
The price includes two nights lodging at Tilikum Retreat Center, six meals and all activities. The weekend begins Friday with dinner at 6:30 p.m. and will conclude Sunday after lunch. If you are unable to come in during these hours, consider having a friend bring your textbooks in for you.
Books being used for upcoming semesters will be purchased at 50 percent of the new price (regardless of whether the book was purchased new or used). You may check buyback prices by logging on to: store.georgefox.edu and using the “Student Textbook Orders” link and selecting the “SELL” link in the Portland Center header.
Books not needed for the Portland Center Bookstore will be purchased at the price set by the wholesaler.

*If the weather is bad, it will be held in Bauman Auditorium.

Attention Junior’s Abroad and May Serve Students:
If you plan to leave your car on campus during while on your trip, you must bring your car keys to the Security Office in order to do so.
Any car left unattended on campus will be considered abandoned and will be towed. The campus is booked all summer with groups, and we are unable to accommodate extra vehicles.
