THE OAKS Christian Camp and Conference Center will be on campus Thursday, December 2nd, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Bruin’s Den, and would love to connect with you if you have a heart for kids, the urban poor and camp ministry. THE OAKS is a ministry of World Impact, an organization that reaches out to the urban poor across the country by church planting and other incarnational ministries.

Reid has accepted the position of senior pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Newberg and will be leaving the university Dec. 31 after five years of service.

Announcing the addition of a new HHP Class: Core/Flexibility Fitness. The class will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:40 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Wheeler Gymnasium.
This class is excellent for all levels of fitness and will build strength, flexibility, stamina and balance using a series of poses designed to strengthen the core, improve body alignment and lessen postural imbalances. The class will include relaxation techniques. Â Students will be required to provide their own “yoga” mat.

As part of the “Free the 43” advocacy week, petition letters to President Aquino and Senators Wyden and Merkley have been drawn up and are posted and ready to be signed at the Center for Peace and Justice.
These petitions will be circulating through campus this week, so if you’ve already signed once, you don’t need to sign again. There are three letters to sign. They will be mailed on Friday.

The work of graduating art majors will be on display Thursday, Dec. 2, through Saturday, Dec. 18, in Minthorne Gallery.
The exhibit will open with a gallery reception at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fine art by Leah Banick will be displayed, and she will present an artist talk at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
At 7 p.m., art majors Seth Terpstra and Kelsey Budeau will present portfolios of graphic design in Hoover 105.

Student supervisors: Pay day for student employees is Wednesday, Dec. 15. For us to meet this deadline, we need your students’ October time sheets by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3.
Please be sure the student’s name, ID number and cost center number is legible on each one. Please total them. Also, don’t forget to sign them and be sure the students did as well. Please do not send students to HR to sign their time sheets.

Don’t forget to turn in your November timesheets to your supervisor at the end of your last shift of the month. The last day of the month is Tuesday, November 30th.  Be sure your name is typed or printed legibly at the top, it is complete and accurate, and you have signed it.  Payday is on Wednesday, December 15th.
