Research papers can seem overwhelming, but following a step-by-step, organized approach can make writing them a lot less stressful. We will go over these steps at an Academic Resource Center workshop, “Steps to Writing a Successful Research Paper,” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, in Lemmons 8.
Gary Tandy (English) and Jane Scott (Public Services Librarian) will speak about what steps to take and guide you to campus and Internet resources that can help make you a better researcher.
Students will be asked to sign in so their attendance can be verified for any professors who are giving credit for participation. Videos and materials from selected ARC workshops are available on the ARC website (arc.georgefox.edu).
Contact Rick Muthiah at rmuthiah@georgefox.edu or ext. 2314 for more information.

Students, please remember to either register your vehicle or register as NOCAR by end of day on Friday, Jan. 21, to avoid being issued and charged for a non-refundable parking permit due to not registering.
If you have changed your housing from one side of the campus to another, or moved on/off campus over Christmas break, please scrape off your parking permit and bring it to the security office so that the proper permit can be issued. Single-edge razor blades are available in the security office if you need help in scraping off your permit.
If you have changed vehicles since last semester, please scrape off the permit from your previous vehicle and bring it to the security office so we can change the registration and issue a new permit.
