The Staff Development Committee announces the “Let’s Work Together” series, featuring a different university department each session. In a brown-bag lunch setting, you’ll receive a fun and interactive presentation from the highlighted department addressing what they do, what they can do for us, and what we can do for them.

The first faculty “Coffee & Conversation” of the fall is titled “EVIL-MAIL: Confronting the Menace That Ate Your Day!” Join us from 10:40 to 11:30 a.m. this Friday, Sept. 28, in the Executive Dining Room.

“Coffee & Conversation” sessions address “burrs under the saddle” – those persistent, annoying problems and challenges that seem to come with the work but drain an inordinate amount of time and energy. E-mail certainly fits the bill. What are the guild secrets someone is keeping from you? Who has solved this problem or at least found ways to shrink the negative impact?

• Come if you are desperate for ideas.
• Come if you have some strategies but are looking for new ideas.
• Come if you have all the answers.
• Come if you just want to have some free coffee and goodies and listen to the discussion.

The George Fox Auxiliary is hosting a luncheon at noon on Friday, Oct. 5, in the Cap and Gown Room. The event will feature a presentation by members of those who went on the June Serve trip to Romania.

Everyone is invited to attend the first Spanish Chapel of the school year at 10:40 a.m. Friday, September 21 in Bauman Auditorium. The service will start with worship and continue with a message by Angel Diaz, the pastor at Iglesia Amigos (Newberg Spanish Friends Church). We are looking for a new team member to join us starting in late September/early October. Phonathon Team Members serve as an ambassador of George Fox by of establishing and maintaining a connection to the university, as well as fundraising with its constituents (alumni, parents and friends of George Fox University). Comprehensive training will be provided.

You will build your resume with skills in negotiation, customer service, relationship building, and working in a team environment. We are located in Coyote Place, which is 1 mile off campus and reliable transportation is required—rain or shine!
