We are hosting a sock drive for the homeless. Donate your new or recently washed used socks in a blue trash bin in the Bruin Den between Nov. 12 and Dec. 3.
Consider donating a pair or two of your used or no-longer-in-style socks to those individuals who have fallen on hard times and find themselves homeless in this cold weather.

COMP-Northwest is an osteopathic medical school located in Lebanon, Ore., and is part of Western University of Health Sciences, located in California. Luke will hold a presentation at 2:45 p.m. in EHS 217 and will be available for drop-in at a table on the second floor of EHS between 12:30 p.m. and 2:20 p.m.

The CMCO department is holding its 15th annual Fox Film Festival this Spring. To celebrate, we are holding a contest for the festival logo to be specially redesigned for the occasion.
The contest will be open for submissions from Nov. 7-28, giving students three weeks to create something extraordinary. Â After the submission period ends, each valid submission will be judged and the winner announced by the beginning of December. The prize: $50 and your logo featured this spring as the official Fox Film Festival logo!

Fall seniors: Don’t forget today, Thursday, Nov. 8, is the FALL EXODUS FAIR from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you are a traditional undergrad senior graduating in December, stop by the Exodus Fair in the Stevens Center Atrium. You can pick up your cap and gown, order graduation announcements, enjoy some free food, and much more!

Financial affairs will offer credit card reconciliation training on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m. or Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the Library Instruction Room (in basement of MLRC, Room B13). If you have a new university credit card, this is your chance to learn how the new process for monthly reconciliation will be conducted.
Bring your receipts, as you will have the ability to use your real data while training. At the end of the training you will be well on your way (if not finished) with reconciling your first month’s transactions.

We’re extending the date for donations to the Northeast Portland Backpack Lunch Project to Tuesday, Nov. 13!
Please bring your “kid-friendly” food donations to the bins provided all over the Portland Center. Suggested items include: cans of chili, soup, ravioli in meat sauce, boxes of mac ‘n’ cheese, small juice boxes (100 percent juice only, no foil containers), individual serving fruit cups, healthy snacks, small packages of dried fruits, oat meal cups, etc.
Monetary donations can be made at the front desk; $100 sponsors a child for weekend meals for the entire school year. Donation checks made out to Fremont United Methodist Church will be tax deductible. More info is available at this Facebook page.
