Join us tonight (Monday) for “Speaking Our Mind,” a lecture presented by Kathryn Hickok, publications director for the Cascade Policy Institute. Her presentation is the latest in the university’s spring Liberal Arts and Critical Issues series on the “State of the Union.”
The session runs from 7 to 8 p.m. in Hoover 105. Hickok will discuss how, as citizens, we must explain the “why’s” behind our views to be persuasive in today’s political and public policy debates.

A memorial service for Lucy (Clark) Anderson will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 p.m. at North Valley Friends Church, 4020 N. College St. Lucy (mother of Paul) taught English and theatre at George Fox from 1947 to 1951.
Starting on Monday, March 18, a contractor will begin installation of solar panels on top of Bauman Auditorium. They will not work during scheduled events. If you have questions, you can call Dan Schutter at ext. 2014.
Students:
If you are currently registered as NOCAR, but are planning to bring a car back for the last five weeks of school, there is a reduced registration fee of $15 to register it.
Please go on MyGFU and DELETE your NOCAR listing by using the “minus” button to the right of your listing, and once the boxes have cleared, go ahead and enter your vehicle’s information. A permit will then be sent to Mail Services and you can sign for it there.
Please remember that ALL cars on campus need to have a permit on them. If you bring a car to campus other than the one that is registered, you must come to the security office for a gratis temporary permit.

We will be hosting Peace’d Together – An Intercultural Conference on the Newberg campus in April! The purpose of the event is to initiate dialogue that will assist us as we bridge gaps that culturally separate us, find truth where each of our roads cross, and celebrate the contribution each of us bring to the diversity of God’s kingdom and the George Fox community.
This is a free conference and promises to be amazing! It will be held in various buildings on campus Friday, April 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m to 6 p.m. The key speakers will be Pastor Tory Campbell, Dr. Caleb Rosado, Dr. Keith Dempsey partnering with graduate student Amber Nelson, Dr. Joel Perez, Dr. Melanie Hulbert and the Student Congress on Racial Reconciliation (SCORR) team.

Please note that the deadline to pay your housing deposit has been extended to Thursday, March 21. So if you have been unable to pay your deposit so far, there is still time to do so.
Students who pay their deposit before March 21Â will still be eligible to participate in housing selection. Paying a deposit between March 18 and 21 will not adversely affect placements in housing as these are based on the group’s average credits. Placements are not evaluated on the basis of who signs up first.
The Housing Selection Form will be available online by noon on Monday, March 18. Only students who have paid a housing deposit will be able to sign up for housing through the online form.
