Nominations open for December Employee of the Month

December 4th, 2014

Is there someone you consider a gift to have as a colleague, whether in your department or another department? If someone comes to mind, please consider submitting a nomination via email to Peggy Kilburg (pkilburg@georgefox.edu) by Friday, Dec. 19, with a summary of this person’s recent contributions and any other information that makes this person deserving of this award.

The President’s Executive Leadership Team will select a recipient from among the nominees, and the winner will be honored with a citation and a $100 Visa card at our community meeting in January. (Note: November’s Employee of the Month will be announced at the Dec. 11 all-employee meeting.)

Take your bikes home over Christmas break

December 4th, 2014

Before you leave for Christmas break, please consider taking your bike home if you aren’t using it, and then bringing it back during spring break when the weather improves. If you do indeed use your bike, please put it in your dorm room/apartment before leaving for break so you don’t tempt a potential thief.

Security also recommends students and employees (those who commute by bike) use the biggest U-lock you can find when locking up your bike – and to always be sure it is securely locked up!

Please send all lost and found items to security office

December 4th, 2014

Are there mountains of water bottles, coats, books and other lost items sitting around your offices or work spaces? If so, please send them to the security office by the end of the day today (Friday) so that our students, especially those graduating, can come to the security office to retrieve their items before Christmas break.

All items not reunited with their owners will be donated to charitable causes on Monday, Dec. 15, and we’d hate to have students miss out on a chance to find their items before they are donated.
