Are you an undergraduate female considering vocational ministry? Each month we grab lunch together – undergrad women considering professional ministry and faculty/administrator women who have been in professional ministry for a long time. It’s really casual and a fun way to connect with each other.
If you’d like to be a part of this on a regular or semi-regular basis, email University Pastor Jamie Noling-Auth (jnolingauth@georgefox.edu) and we’ll add you to the invite list so you know when we are gathering and where we’ll be.

Effective July 1, the MLRC and Portland Center libraries are now only accepting debit and credit cards to purchase print cards. No more digging in your pockets or wallet for that extra change to purchase a print card. You can now purchase the print card you need with your debit/credit card. The library will accept cash or checks for other library purchases.
All IT purchases are now paid with a debit or credit card. They not only accept your debit or credit card, but Apple and Android Pay is also available. So if you need a new ID card, power adapter or to pay for those unexpected repair parts, you will no longer need to provide cash or a check. Just put it on the card.
Please note: ID cards will no longer be charged to student accounts.

According to some polls (Department of Human Services, Oregon Health Plan, etc.), at least 25 percent of Newberg lies beneath the national poverty line. Helping those in need is a very special calling, but often goes undefined.
One way to give back to the community is by mentoring youth. Little Bruins is a youth mentoring program. Unlike in the past, George Fox is partnering with various agencies from the Newberg School District to provide multiple volunteer avenues to mentor youth, including:
- One-on-one
- Big Bruin/Little Bruin mentoring with elementary and middle schoolers
- MyZone middle school activity center, and
- AVID tutoring program for adolescents
If you are interested in giving back to the community and gaining valuable experience working with youth, come to the Little Bruins info session tonight (Wednesday) in Bauman Auditorium just after Vespers. You have the opportunity to make a real difference in these young people’s lives.
Contact Alexa Aldridge (aaldridge15@georgefox.edu) or Sean Robertson (srobertson14@georgefox.edu) for more information.

Creagh Schoen (Health and Counseling) is leaving George Fox Sept. 9 to work as a nurse practitioner for the Oregon Kidney and Hypertension Clinic, comprised of a group of doctors who specialize in treating patients with kidney disease. She had been with the university for 12 years.
Deb Mumm-Hill has resigned as the director of student success in the IDEA Center, as she will be assuming the role of OMSI’s vice president of learning experiences. She thanks the wonderful George Fox community for their support and prays the coming year will continue with collaborative conversations, the sharing of innovative ideas and of inspiring the students to fulfill the promise of an exceptional life outcome. “The IDEA Center team is an incredibly impressive group of professionals who are dedicated to the mission and will continue to keep the work and conversations moving forward without missing a beat. Blessings ahead!â€
