All university offices on the Newberg campus and at the Portland Center will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24-25, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Bruin Den and Bridge Café will be closing at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23. The Bruin Bites will be closed on Wednesday, and all cafes will be closed through the weekend, reopening on Monday, Nov. 28, with regular hours of operation.

The Social Work Club is collecting donations for those experiencing homelessness and poverty. The following food items are needed and will go toward both breakfast and lunch kits at Love INC here in Newberg:

Faculty, students and staff are invited to hear Brian Strow present on “George Fox University’s College of Business in the Next Five Years†today (Tuesday) from 11 a.m. to noon in Hoover 105.
Strow is a candidate for the position of dean of the College of Business. He has a doctorate in American economic history, public finance and international political economy from Vanderbilt University, and is a professor of economics at Western Kentucky University and director of the WKU Center for the Study of Capitalism.

We’ll have three rehearsals – on Dec. 7, Jan. 11 and Jan. 18 – and will play at four games (Jan. 20, Jan. 27, Feb. 4 and Feb. 11). Rehearsals will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Ross 210.

Happy Thanksgiving! This week in Tuesday morning chapel (10:50 a.m. in Bauman Auditorium) we are having our Thanksgiving Chapel. We will have communion tables and hear from students who have stories of gratitude.
