We are conducting a PsyD dissertation research project, “Resilience and Cultural Connectiveness within the Native American/Indigenous Population,â€Â and would appreciate your feedback. It will take about 15 to 20 minutes to complete our survey.
We are looking for participants with any Native American/American Indian Indigenous heritage. The purpose of this research is to show how resilience/strength, cultural identity, spiritual identity, and cultural connectiveness are reflected within the Indigenous population.
At the end of the survey is the option to enter a raffle (rewards include three $100 Visa gift cards) as a thank you. We have received IRB approval through George Fox, and as a tribal partnership project we place an emphasis on participant safety and a culturally humble approach to Indigenous research.
Thank you for considering participation in our research. If you have any questions, concerns or feedback, please feel free to contact Winston Seegobin at wseegobin@georgefox.edu or Lindsay Price at lprice18@georgefox.edu.

How does Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s hopeful, reconciling and redemptive leadership – as exhibited in his acclaimed Letter from Birmingham Jail, written in 1963 – reverberate today?
Tonight (Tuesday), all are invited to a free special presentation, “Letter from Birmingham Jail,†presented by Scott Finnie, PhD, a King scholar and faculty member in Eastern Washington University’s Africana Education Program and Department of History since 1992. The event is set from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Hoover 105.
Finnie’s visit is the keynote address of the 2022 John Woolman Peacemaking Forum. The presentation will focus on how King’s leadership changed the Civil Rights Movement and how his peacemaking principles still apply to our world today.
Preceding the talk will be a Steinfeldt Peace Scholars Symposium from 6 to 6:30 p.m. in the Hoover lobby, where current upperclass students committed to peace studies will exhibit their projects.
The event is being sponsored by George Fox’s Center for Peace and Justice, which is also providing refreshments.
