Survey: Church Property Repurposing Ideas

Thursday, April 7th, 2022

Estimates suggest that as many as 100,000 churches may close by 2025 and that $3.5 billion of church property will change hands in 2022. The speed and scale of this change is unprecedented and will impact the social fabric of neighborhoods and cities.

Question: If you could take ownership of an abandoned church property/asset (church building, houses , vans, etc.), how would you choose to use it and what purpose would it serve? Please share your thoughts using this survey being conducted as part of Randy Woodley’s History of Religion in America class.

Thanks for your participation! Contact Patti Togioka at ptogioka20@georgefox.edu with any questions.
