Attend Dalton lectures on life beyond earth and trends in our culture on science and faith

All are invited to the afternoon lecture of our Dalton Lecture scientist, Dr. Deborah Haarsma, president of Biologos, as she talks about “Life beyond earth and the place of humans in the cosmos” at 3 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday) in Bauman Auditorium.

Also join us for the evening lecture at 7:30 p.m. in Bauman, when Dr. Haarsma will discuss trends in our culture on science and faith, ways to distinguish reliable scientific findings from speculation, and research-based practical tips for better conversations with friends and family.

Dr. Haarsma has studied large galaxies, galaxy clusters, the curvature of space, and the expansion of the universe using telescopes around the world and in orbit. She plans on sharing some of these images with us.

Immediately following the lecture, there will be a reception and student research poster session in the lobby.
