While most student concerns and complaints can and should be resolved informally, a formal general complaint procedure is described in the Community Accountability section of the Undergraduate Student Handbook, linked here.
For graduate and adult degree programs, the formal general complaint procedure is described on the webpage at this link.
Note that these procedures cover complaints of a general nature and do not supersede specific policies involving cases such as grade appeals, sexual harassment, etc., which are covered elsewhere in the Student Handbook, catalog, or Graduate/DPS Policies.
For more information, contact the student life office at studentlife@georgefox.edu.

Heather Harney, assistant director of Learning Support Services, is recruiting three or four graduate students to work as academic mentors for high-risk students on the Newberg campus during the fall 2023 semester.
Academic mentors will work seven to 10 hours per week, and will be paid $15.70 per hour. Students can find more details and application information on Handshake. The position is open to any George Fox graduate student, including incoming students.
Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. Academic mentors will have the opportunity to continue in the spring semester based on their availability and ongoing need for the program.
Past success coaches have commented on how much they grew through the experience, especially through their one-on-one sessions with high-risk students. The role is not a formal counseling role, but has similarities that can be especially helpful for graduate students who will be entering helping professions.
Please contact Heather Harney at hharney@georgefox.edu if you have questions.
