The Bruin Store is raffling off 35 prizes to celebrate the end of the year. Each prize is valued between $5 and $45, the raffle is open to everyone, and there is no limit on how many raffle tickets you can get!

Between today (Monday) and Thursday, April 29, there are three ways to be entered to win:

• Make a purchase of any amount in the Bruin Store 
• Find Pennington in his graduation cap
  • Come see us, and we will fill you in!
• Place an online order to be picked up in store
  • This is a fantastic way for families of graduates to order gifts ahead of time!

Winners will be drawn on Friday, April 30, and will be called to be notified that they won. Prizes can be picked up any time during graduation weekend.

Mail Services is happy to announce that we are now offering FedEx in addition to USPS and UPS!

Packages going out by FedEx must be brought to Mail Services no later than noon. Any packages brought by after noon will run the risk of going out the following day.

This week, Wellness Wednesday is focused on the mental health benefits of walking. Here is an additional resource for self-reflection during your walks or in your personal journal.

Disability & Accessibility Services would like to recommend a podcast, entitled â€œCreating Successful Learning Experiences for Students Who Identify as Neurodiverse,” given by Dr. Siva priya Santhanam.

If you want to learn more about neurodiverse individuals’ experiences, such as those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and more, this a great introduction. The podcast also includes some attainable adjustments that can be made to classes or experiences before they start to make them more accessible to all individuals.

Want to discuss this further? Join a follow-up conversation with DAS today (Wednesday) from 11 a.m. to noon on Zoom. We’ll discuss the podcast and brainstorm ways to make classes and other campus experiences more accessible to neurodiverse individuals.

This week for our George Fox Gives emphasis, we are celebrating racial diversity and equity initiatives at the university. Please view the list of highlighted funds and how each directly supports our diverse community of students.

Intercultural Resource Center (IRC): Support programs and activities where a diverse student community can flourish. The IRC helps recruit and retain student leaders who are committed to diversity and have a passion for promoting multicultural awareness.

Portland Seminary Diversity Leadership Scholarship: Provide funding to leaders and individuals who are committed to pastoral ministry in ethnically diverse spaces. Those who have been beneficiaries of this scholarship include ministry leaders in Korean American and African American churches on the West Coast.

Art & Design Chroma Scholarship: Help alleviate financial hardship for art and design students who are working toward equity and diversity in this field. This scholarship provides access to a rigorous, high-quality, nurturing and professional Christian art and design education.

The provost’s and president’s offices have declared the undergrad drive-through commencement this year to be an all-hands-on-deck event. We need about 200 people (spread across several shifts) to help create a celebratory commencement experience for our undergraduates May 1-2.

Your responsibilities will include making sure cars travel the route safely and efficiently, and of course, cheering on our grads throughout the parade route!

Please sign up for a time slot (or two) by Monday, April 19, to participate in the commencement drive-through festivities. More details will be provided after you sign up. Time off in lieu of hours worked on May 1 or 2 are available with permission of your supervisor for those employees not already scheduled to work.
