The George Fox University School of Nursing and School of Social Work would like to invite you to participate in the university’s Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS).
It is difficult for those of us who have enough to truly understand the situations that families living in poverty experience. That is why our students are required to participate in CAPS, and why we need you as a volunteer to help make it a success. As a volunteer, you will be “acting” out the part of a business owner or agency member.
Our simulation event will be held from 12:45 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, in Canyon Commons. Please RSVP to Kim Rapp (rappk@georgefox.edu) or Jenny Vuksich (jvuksich@georgefox.edu) by Thursday, Sept. 23, if you are willing to participate.

Now is the time to order university stationery! The collective order helps keep costs low: the higher the volume, the lower the cost. Consequently, it is most economical to overestimate needs and store a small surplus.
I will be accepting orders through Friday, Sept. 17. For order instructions, go to the marketing communications website. Continue to purchase all non-departmental stationery (including “second-sheet letterheadâ€) through the university’s Office of Mail Services.
Please contact me at jloop@georgefox.edu if you have any questions.
Thank you,
– Jamison Loop
