Don’t forget to come out and support our theatre students at this spring’s drama presentation of These Shining Lives, written by Melanie Marnich and directed by Rhett Luedtke.
Performances are in Wood-Mar Auditorium on April 9-12 and April 16-19. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. with the exception of the two Sunday shows, scheduled as 2 p.m. matinees.
Synopsis: Marnich’s poetic tale of the women who worked for Radium Dial Company in Ottawa, Ill., in the 1920s and ’30s is deeply moving, wistful and beautifully tragic. Inspired by actual people and real events, These Shining Lives chronicles the lives of four women who refuse to allow a company more concerned with profit than safety to silence their voices. Join us as we remember our collective past, reflect on the present and dream of a better future.
Tickets are $6 for students, or free for students on April 9 and 16. Employees are entitled to one complimentary ticket. Additional tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors 65 or older, and $6 for children under 12. All tickets can be ordered at theatre.georgefox.edu.
