This survey is designed to gain a perspective as to whether or not college students prefer to have a physical copy of a textbook to use in their classes. All responses will remain anonymous.
The data collected will provide a foundation for a senior project idea to build a website designed specifically for college students to buy, sell or trade textbooks with other students across the U.S. This service would not only connect students with textbooks, it would provide an affordable option, as students would only pay a maximum fee of $15 (shipping included) to rent a textbook from another student.
The main goal of this survey is to see if students would be interested in using a website service such as this.

The university will host a free Chehalem Symphony Orchestra performance at 7:30 p.m. this Tuesday, March 8, in Bauman Auditorium.
The concert will feature Intermezzo Sinfonico by Pietro Mascagni, Symphony No. 8 “The Unfinished” by Franz Schubert, Concerto No. 1 in D Minor by Bach, and Poet and Peasant Overture by Franz Von Suppe. Pat Vandehey serves as conductor of the Chehalem Symphony Orchestra.

The university community is invited to attend a free lecture featuring Lauren Winner, author and assistant professor of spirituality at Duke Divinity School, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 7, in Bauman Auditorium.
Winner is the author of numerous books, including Girl Meets God, Wearing God and Mudhouse Sabbath. The lecture she will present is titled “Wearing God: Encountering Overlooked Biblical Metaphors for God.â€
Her recent memoir, Still: Notes on a Mid-faith Crisis, was named a “Best Book of 2012†in the religion category by Publishers Weekly and was a Christianity Today 2013 Book Award winner in the spirituality category. Her book on overlooked biblical images of God, Wearing God, was published by HarperOne in the spring of 2015.
Winner has appeared on PBS’s Religion & Ethics Newsweekly and has written for The New York Times Book Review, The Washington Post Book World, Publishers Weekly, Books and Culture and Christianity Today. She has degrees from Duke, Columbia and Cambridge universities, and she holds a PhD in history.
The lecture is co-sponsored by the William Penn Honors Program, the College of Christian Studies and the Office of Spiritual and Intercultural Life. Chapel credit is available.

The undefeated women’s basketball team is heading to Wisconsin to compete in the first round of the NCAA tournament this weekend, and you have a chance to wish them good luck at their send-off party today (Wednesday) at 12:15 p.m. in Wheeler Gymnasium.
Since we can’t all go to Wisconsin to cheer in person, you are invited to watch the games at our official viewing parties in Hoover 105, complete with snacks and extra Bruin spirit. The doors will open at 2:45 p.m. on Friday (game tips off at 3 p.m.). If the Bruins win, they will play on Saturday at 5 p.m., with doors opening at 4:45 p.m.
